"About This Fragrance
A medley of sharp berries, a hint of citrus zest, and a dash of fresh ginger make a refreshing concoction."
This scent is interesting. I guess I was expecting more mint and eucalyptus but I think the pear and sage really tone the other notes down. I really don't get a lot of the eucalyptus and the mint, however, it is definitely a fall fresh scent. "About This Fragrance
With the crisp scents of eucalyptus and mint layered beneath soft pear and sage, it's like that first deep breath of bright, clean air on a morning far, far away."
Autumn in the Park was the one I fell in love with straight out of the box. This is fresh apples (Macintosh) with a touch of pumpkin. Don't think just because it has pumpkin and apple that it is Apple Pumpkin because you would be miss out! this is such a great signature fall scent.
"About This Fragrance
I am super excited to try this fragrance! This is the other one that is an online exclusive but I had to have this. I am glad I picked up two because I love how it smells cold. It smells like a pear tart..super yummy! SUPER sweet pear and brandy mingling in this wax melt. You do you get some bakery notes but it is not the main thing you smell.
"About This Fragrance
The rich scent of baked pear in a sugary confection with a hint of brandy--a delicious reminder of your favorite café pastries."
"About This Fragrance
A basket of just-picked berries, sweet and juicy and full with harvest sun—savor the freshness."
I was suckered in when I saw the picture on the label. Is that a churro? What ever it is, I am all about it. This reminds me of Be Thankful but it has of course spice because it's in the name. It isn't a choke you to death cinnamon so if you are willing to try out something with a little bit of spice to it, this might be an option.
"About This Fragrance
A mouthwatering swirl of cinnamon, buttery vanilla, and sugar crystals all baking together—guaranteed to fill your home with smiles."
I will be honest, this didn't sound like something would like. I have tried alcohol type scents before and they are just odd, in my opinion. This one, however, has changed my mind. I actually really like how warm and "bourbon" like this is..Now as I stated on my YouTube video...I don't sit around smelling bourbon so I might be missing some key elements here but this is a very warm and creamy vanilla. Definitely makes fr the perfect vanilla fall scent. "About This Fragrance
A traditional warm-me-up on a cold winter's day--a mug full of something steaming topped with a layer of thick vanilla cream and laced with a dash of strong bourbon."

Wouldn't it be grand if every day was as sunny and fun as a picnic in the park? Imagine being stretched out on a soft blanket under a shade tree, while hints of your favorite fruits. . . mango, coconut and strawberry. . . float in on the breeze like an afternoon daydream. A refreshing delight, this fragrance will give any room a sunny outlook."

Golden Sands is one of the new fragrances from Yankee Candle for the summer. It is listed in the Fresh category even though I get some floral in this as well.
This fragrance is not strong by any means but that doesn’t mean rule it out. I totally picture a nice evening stroll on the beach while the sun is setting however it does not have a “beachy” smell to it. I don’t get even a hint the salty water, sea air or sun tan lotion smell. I actually smell vanilla…not like a baker’s vanilla but a softer feminine vanilla. I can smell the sandalwood and I do get a sweet floral note in it as well. Yankee Candle’s description of this scent is:
Your private beach awaits, where time pauses in soft breezes of soothing sandalwood, luminous orange flower and warm tonka beans.
I personally won’t be buying this in a jar or anything but it was nice to try. I wouldn’t turn it down if it was offered as a gift.
It’s not overly floral which is nice because I’m pretty picky about floral scents. I can’t handle them if they are too powdery.
Rating (0-5): 1/2

Can't wait to melt/burn them :D. Most are just repurchases but I'm happy to have some of the new scents as well. I'll make sure to write a review =)
I picked up Bunny Cake during the $1 Tarts and Votives sale at Yankee Candle. I was super excited to see this since my family has made a bunny cake for as long as I can remember and it was very much a cake covered in coconut! We used to leave an ear without coconut because my sister has never been a big fan of it. On a cold sniff I haven’t really gotten a lot of bakery or anything. It’s more of a vanilla/coconut smell. I really am picky about this mixture since I don’t want it smelling like body lotion I have tried in the past (and hated with a passion). I am hoping the citrus notes will make it more yellow cake meets bakery coconut with hints of citrus. Bright and just down right makes you happy to eat it =).
Yankee Candle describes this fragrance as
“A delicious way to hop into spring . . . a sweet treat of sugary coconut, creamy vanilla and bright citrus.”
After burning this votive I have come to the conclusion that it smells like flowers or soaps and not the bakery I was anticipating. I am not sure why. I will end up burning all three of the votives I purchased to see if this one was just sitting to close to another fragrance in the box and became a mix of that scent. As for now, I don’t care for it. I read mixed reviews for this scent before I even received my order. I would rather it be super sugary sweet than smell like soap.
Rating (0-5):1/2 - we shall see how the others compare
Throw: medium
Worth It: not as of now
If I think differently after I burn the others I will post an update.
When I think of citrus I think of sweet strong bright notes but the citrus in this fragrance is just a bit different. The citrus is a smooth slightly sweet almost refreshing. It works amazingly well with the earthiness of the sage which isn’t too over bearing.
It’s a beautiful scent that I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a man-dle or cologne type scent, however, it would be a great fragrance to have in a man cave to un-stink-a-fy the room, without making it smell like cleaner. I enjoy this in the guest room and the great room.
The tart was pretty strong but that’s what I want in a wax melt. The candle gives off just enjoy scent to fill a small to medium size room.
Yankee Candle describes this scent as:
This blend of earthy sage, luxurious talc, and lemon-lime creates a natural harmony.
At first I wasn’t interested in this fragrance..in fact every time I went to Yankee Candle, I passed it up and didn’t give it a second thought. I started watching YouTube videos and TheNoseKnows76 had mentioned this fragrance. I was out and about at Bed, Bath and Beyond..Sage and Citrus was on sale and I had a coupon so I figured why not. Instantly I fell in love with it. I had it going in the warmer next to the couch and it was just perfect. A nice clean and refreshing snuggly scent all wrapped up in to one.
Overall Rating (0-5): Perfect for any time of the year.
Picture yourself walking on the beach, but instead of letting the ocean water run across your feet, you are up closer to the dunes. The sweet smell of wild grasses growing fills the slightly salty ocean air. This is what I think of when I have Dune Grass melting or burning.
Yankee Candle’s website describes this scent as:
A fresh, green coastal breeze of bamboo leaf, bergamot and lemon verbena with hints of white orchid.
Now, not to be confused with Green Grass, this one has more of an ocean/beachy scent to it. Even though it has bergamot and lemon verbena it’s not a super strong scent, it’s actually sweet and mild. Excellent for summer days or nights where you just want to pretend for a moment you are walking on a white sandy beach, without smelling pure salt water or suntan lotion. Relaxing.
This is actually discontinued but you can find it right now online for the SAS. If you are interested in trying it out, you can’t be the price! I stocked up on this in tart form. Even though I live 10 minutes away from the beach, sometimes I just don’t have time to go there and having this scent melting in the office (AKA the candle room) I can relax, close my eyes and think of walking on the sand as the sun sets…ah summer.
Rating (0-5):Throw: Medium
Worth It: Yes, if you want to try a grassy scent that doesn’t smell like fresh cut grass.

Good ol Granny Smith….I like to refer to this one as an actually person because this candle has a personality. Yankee describes this candle as a fresh green apple. She is just that, a fresh green tart crisp apple. If you were to stick your nose right over this jar, it is almost too tart! I love it though because that’s what I think of when I eat green apples. I never know if it’s going to be a sweet mellow tart or a WHOA WOW tart. She has a wonderful throw, I would put it about a medium to strong and it’s just like it smells cold. Sweet, tart and refreshing!
Granny doesn’t disappoint, except in her behavior. I don’t know if all of the jars in this fragrance are naughty but mine would not stay straight. Her wick constantly shifted to the side and only burn one area…you can actually see it in the picture above. After burning this candle for an entire day, with cozies and an illumalid did she finally correct herself and got an even wax pool.
I would recommend this scent to any of you that love fruit scents, especially sweet/tart apples. It’s a must try/have. Just be warned…she needs constant care…after all she is a granny.
4.5 – I would give her a 5 but she was a tunneling disaster.

When I first heard about this candle I was unsure about it. I am not a big fan of super strong, tropical drink coconut scents. This is definitely different. Even though the picture is pretty tropical and when you smell this cold you might be turned off by how strong it is….don’t be! It’s a wonderfully mellow coconut scent…more like the meat and less like a bottle of tanning oil or a pina colada. It smells like it might have a little be a lime note added, but it doesn’t seem to stick around long. Even though most of my WJ candles are super strong, this one is nice, it’s the perfect. Reminds me of the shredded coconut or if you buy fresh coconut from the store. There’s no added sweetener to this delectable fruit, pure goodness. I am burning a two wick medium tumbler that I purchased from my local TJMaxx. The picture above is a large two wick tumbler also purchased from TJMaxx.
I was very excited to see the new fall scents previewing at my store. I picked up all but one, there are six total but I skipped out on Treehouse Memories. Something about the way Yankee makes their fall fragrances smell so, well….fall! Here it is not even the middle of summer and I am thinking about fall scents. I really shouldn’t rush my summer, but they were only $0.99! I enjoyed a couple of them based off of smelling them in their wrapper. Here they are:
Season’s Blessings =\=
This scent is described as “pears, plums, and grape with hints of spice and cardamom.” I really think this will be one I burn first. It has a really nice bright sweet note about it that really makes me think about fall fruit.
Harvest Welcome =\=
This scent is described as “farm fresh pumpkins spiced with just right amount of brisk autumn air.” This scent reminds me of Moonlight Harvest but without the earthiness. It’s spicy but not like a pumpkin pie. It will definitely be one to have on hand for the up coming fall season.
Apple Pumpkin =\=
A fall favorite from last year’s Blue Ribbon Line, Apple Pumpkin is described as “home grown apples and pumpkins blended with ginger and clove.” I love this, you get the wonderful fragrance of sweet fall apples and fresh pumpkin all spiced up. something about it just makes me feel that it’s dropped about 15 degrees outside. This is a remarkable scent and I am so pleased it’s back.
Caramel Pecan Pie =\=
This scent is described as a “scrumptious recipe of walnuts, pecans and creamy caramel.” Just on the name alone, I want to grab a fork! The picture of course is enticing too. Creamy caramel is a stand out note in this (Yankee’s caramel is an easy scent to pick out; it’s strong), then I get the walnuts and pecans. It reminds me a little of Apple Pie by Yankee Candle, the crust I think is what makes it similar.
Whoopie Pie! =\=
Chocolate lovers kind of fragrance, this scent is described as “creamy vanilla frosting meets moist, rich, chocolate”. I think chocolate scents are very difficult to create into candle form. They all end up smelling the same to me. I can get the chocolate of course but I actually get that vanilla scent as well. It make this a little different from your regular run of the mill chocolate scents. I’ll have to actually burn this to see how it truly smells.
The last scent, which I didn’t pick up was Treehouse Memories. It is described as “Warm, earthy woods wrapped in sweet, familiar spices”. I might have to go back to the store and pick this one up just so I can compare it. I am a little timid when it comes to “woods and earthy” scents. Even though I rather enjoy Moonlight Harvest which is a real spicy / earthy scent, this one was really hard to smell in the store. Right now the previews are $0.99 so if you are interested in any of these you might want to pick them up now. They are in stores and online. Yankeecandle.com
Well after staying up until 3 am and the sale never showed up on the website, I went to sleep. When I woke up at 6 am the sale was STILL not there! I was very disappointed. How can YC have it up right on time last year and this year it was on their own time. There aren’t any real deals yet, except on accessories.
The Citrus Passion jar sleeve is only $5! Just think no more foiling your jars/tumblers.
Tea light and electric warmers are a pretty good deal too.
Large jars and tumblers in select scents are $14.
Medium jars and tumblers in select scents are $12.50.
Small jars are $5.50 and small tumblers are $8.
Tea lights are $5.
Swirl candles are $11.50.
Perfect Pillars are $10.
Select Pure Radiance select fragrances 50% off.
Select tarts and samps are a buck.
There are more deals…just check the website or if there is a store near you, stop by. You might find a scent that was hiding in the treasure cabinet. Mine didn’t have much..I am going to hold out and see what kind of deliveries my store gets in the next week or so. I have been checking online frequently. You never know when a treasure will pop up! I’m trying to stay positive!
Well I have an update about which scents are going to be on sale during the semi annual sale at Yankee Candle. These scents will either be a permanent or seasonal retirement. I found out about these from a friend and I’m not sure if he wants credit or not so I will refrain unless he says something. I think these are actually on display at the store to let their customers know what might be leaving.
Here’s the scents that I know about so far:
- Beach Flowers
- Blue Hydrangea
- Cherry Lemonade
- Coastal Waters
- Cottage Breeze
- Drift Away
- Early Sunrise
- Garden Hideaway
- Green Grass
- Island Spa
- Juicy Watermelon
- Midnight Oasis
- Oceanside
- Ocean Water
- Orange Dreamsicle
- Pink Blush
- Pink Dragon Fruit
- Storm Watch
- Sweet Honeysuckle
- Sweet Strawberry
- Tahitian Tiaré Flower
- Tulips
- Wild Passion Fruit
- I am also hearing from YC employees that it’s going to be a great sale with lots of deals. Stay tuned!
A new line came out at Yankee Candle, Citrus Passion! It sounds like something right up my alley! Citrus is one of my favorite things to burn/melt pretty much all year long with the exception of the short fall and winter season (from the middle of October until the end of the cold days; which can be the first week of January or middle of February). I always have a lemon candle in the kitchen
Here are the four new scents:
Citrus Passion: Grapefruit =\= Pucker up! The the cold throw is very light but I get the sour sweet that you would get when you cut open a grapefruit.
Citrus Passion: Orange =\= A bright juicy scent.
Yankee Candle started their Samp and Tart Palooza, which is the sale I like to hit up for tarts! You can’t beat paying a dollar a tart, especially since there have been several new scents that have come out. I have to say I am truly enjoying Fruit Fusion! Anyway, the sale is going on now and I think it is going to continue until the 15th. You don’t need a coupon and it’s happening at YC stores and online.
Here are the scents I bought:
Fruit Fusion, Midnight Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Pink Dragon Fruit, Wild Passion Fruit, Sage and Citrus, Chocolate Bunnies, Grapevine and Oak, Juicy Watermelon, Strawberry Guava, Soft Blanket, True Crush, First Kiss, Loves Me, Loves Me Not, and Sweet Honeysuckle.
I truly enjoy Soft Blanket for those rainy afternoons...typically I will have that going in the office and Storm Watch in the bedroom.
On sunny warm days I prefer Green Grass! It's a wonderful sweet grass scent which reminds me of a summer afternoon, after my dad would mow the lawn. <3
Like the smells you take in at the beach?? I know this isn't for everyone but Sun and Sand is on of my top picks. Let's face it, here where I live we're ready for the beach almost all year. I enjoy getting ready for spring and summer visits to the local beach where you smell the salty ocean water, and suntan lotion.
Melting something for the evening? How about Pink Sands, Midsummers Night, or midnight Jasmine.
