Good ol Granny Smith….I like to refer to this one as an actually person because this candle has a personality.  Yankee describes this candle as a fresh green apple.   She is just that, a fresh green tart crisp apple.  If you were to stick your nose right over this jar, it is almost too tart!  I love it though because that’s what I think of when I eat green apples.  I never know if it’s going to be a sweet mellow tart or a WHOA WOW tart.  She has a wonderful throw, I would put it about a medium to strong and it’s just like it smells cold.  Sweet, tart and refreshing!

Granny doesn’t disappoint, except in her behavior.  I don’t know if all of the jars in this fragrance are naughty but mine would not stay straight.  Her wick constantly shifted to the side and only burn one area…you can actually see it in the picture above.  After burning this candle for an entire day, with cozies and an illumalid did she finally correct herself and got an even wax pool.

I would recommend this scent to any of you that love fruit scents, especially sweet/tart apples.  It’s a must try/have. Just be warned…she needs constant care…after all she is a granny.

4.5 – I would give her a 5 but she was a tunneling disaster.

Strong. One of the these little sunshine tarts filled my master bathroom easily. Sweet apple...this is a flash back scent for me. I loved Country Apple when I was a teenager and look forward to using the real deal now. When I am not using it in the shower, I can still enjoy this beautiful scent by melting one of these dupes! The fresh combination of sweet red apples and blossoms is a perfect fragrance for any time of the year. It reminds me of the fall or the start or school. I can remember getting ready on the first day back...nervous but smelling wonderfully delicious. Or it could be springtime when the sweet fruity scent brighten up anyway. It is sweet and strong. It might not be a true apple scent but more of a perfume type scent...I don't care it nostalgic. A wonderfully created duplication. If you are looking for a dupe of CA then check out Shayz Scentz. I just finished my sugar jar of Sugared Apple. I have to say it burned better than I thought it would have since the jar is larger at the bottom. It still didn't get a full wax pool at the end so I will scrape out the remaining wax and put it on the tart warmer. One last burst of scent before going in the garbage. I will probably save the jar since it's cute. I do have another jar but I think I'm going to save it for after winter. I hope everyone is having a safe and restful weekend and is ready for the sale on Monday. I have meetings at work but as soon as they're done I'm heading to the local YC.
Take care,

Tia~

One of the scents I thought I would try, and it was a last minute decision was Island Heat. I have read the description several times, do I want it or not....well I finally added it to my cart. Lately I have been ordering fall scents so I can find a few that I like but summer isn't over yet and I don't want to melt fall scents in the house full time in the late summer. Island Heat from Kim's Tarts is described on her website as "A powerful fresh pineapple juice, rich luscious strawberries and sweet orange juice. Combined with a dash of zing, sweet vanilla and brown sugar, you will have a knockout scent. This oil is both sweet and sassy with a bit of "fizzy" quality! Super strong!"
It's a beautiful orange color and of course tied with a cute little bow. The bag contains three tarts that last for about 4 to 8 hours each. Kim's Tarts cost $1.50 each bag which is an amazing deal. I melted this tart in the master bathroom since I was cleaning the bedroom I wanted to be able to smell it and keep it in my sight. The first thing I smell is orange juice and pineapple juice mixed with some vanilla. It reminds me of a tropical drink. I know the notes say that there are strawberries but I don't really smell those in this mix.
After melting for about 2 to 3 hours it smelled like a tropical paradise in my bathroom! I wanted a frosty tropical drink and to lay out on the beach or by the pool! Creamy vanilla, it wasn't super strong but you definitely get a hint of it. Juicy and sweet orange juice is the scent I got the most of with a mix of pineapple every so often popping up. Very nice summer scent, and strong too! Even after the tealight went out, my husband and I went out to dinner, and when we came home I could still smell it.

I think this was a great scent, however, after a while I was thinking it smelled more like orange dreamsicle. I would totally suggest this scent to someone who likes tropical scents that doesn't contain coconut. Some people can be a little weary of tropical scents because they can be over wheleming with coconut and mango. This doesn't seem to have much of coconut or mango if it even has any at all.  I would say that it's well blended so give this a try for sure!
I will difinitely order this again, perhaps for next year or days that I wish were filled with summer scents.  Creamy and tropical....you can't go wrong!

I finally ordered Lemon Meringue from Kim's the other day and it arrived in the mail today. I am so excited about this tart because I have been looking for a fabulous Lemon Meringue candle/tart. Something sweet, sour, tangy, creamy...just like the pies I make for the 4th of July or just for a summer treat. Lemon Meringue is one of my all time favorite scents and none of the store bought candles that I have purchased have it down. They either have a great cold throw but when I burn it there isn't any fragrance. Now, I haven't really been searching high or low for it...just whenever I would come across a lemon meringue I bought it just to try it out and it couldn't cost more then 10 bucks. $1.50 for three tarts and I have it.....I found it! This is what I was looking for this whole time!

When I first opened the plastic I didn't think it had a strong throw. I was worried that I wasn't going to get a whole lot from this scent. I was super surprised! AMAZING! Starting with the tart and tangy lemon custard, hits your tongue and makes your taste buds say WHOA...is this sweet or sour? Both my friend...both....so bright and zesty with the creamy vanilla, sugar and egg whites to make fluffy meringue. Dissolves in your mouth but complements the lemon custard. Delish....I just want to cut a slice of this pie.

I am very pleased with this and will be making another order to Kim's when I am finished trying all of my new tarts. I have only used 1 and I'm worried I am going to run out before I get more! If you want to purchase this fabulous scent click on this link --> Kim's Tart Candles
Enjoy!
