IMG_1934I purchased this scent not too long ago and pulled it out of the drawer today to give it a go.  I LOVE me some lemon scents as most of you already know.. especially ones that are bakery!  I wasn’t really sure about this when I ordered it since it had coconut in it.  I don’t want my house to smell like I have oiled up for a day long tanning session. Wow was I impressed once I melted this…it’s now one of my favorites!  If you are worried that it’s going to be over powering it is….in the best way possible!  Bakery lemony goodness!  I dropped in two cubes and it lasted for hours.  It didn’t even die down … I was in the house all day with it warming and I could smell it the whole time.  Most of the time when I have something going all day I get use to it and don’t smell it after a while.  Not the case with this.  I will for sure order more of this!  The good news is it’s not part of the Bring Back My Bar sale…so I can get it any time of year.  Which is not the case for Cutiepie Cupcake (my all time fave).  Perfect in every way and I wish I had purchased this from the beginning!

Scentsy’s description of this fragrance is

“Melt-in-your mouth lemon custard layered with butter cake and sprinkled with toasted coconut.”

I haven't used too much this month (haven't had the time to do much other than change diapers and make bottles) but I figured the three products I have used up is at least something.

Coconut Macaroon large kitchen canister - Kringle Candle Company

Baked Apple Pie bar - Scentsy

Honeysuckle anti-bacterial hand soap - Bath and Body Works
I picked up:
Bunny Cake
Grapevine and Oak
Fruit Fusion
Whoopie Pie
Carrot Cake
Soft Blanket
Cucumber and Cantaloupe
Turquoise Sky
Waikiki Melon
Paradise Spice
Kitchen Spice
Campfire Treat
Red Velvet
Honey Blossom
Pineapple Paradise
Black Coconut
Be Thankful
Green Grass
Early Sunrise
Blueberry Scone
Golden Sands

Can't wait to melt/burn them :D. Most are just repurchases but I'm happy to have some of the new scents as well. I'll make sure to write a review =)

IMG_1933I picked up Bunny Cake during the $1 Tarts and Votives sale at Yankee Candle. I was super excited to see this since my family has made a bunny cake for as long as I can remember and it was very much a cake covered in coconut!  We used to leave an ear without coconut because my sister has never been a big fan of it.  On a cold sniff I haven’t really gotten a lot of bakery or anything. It’s more of a vanilla/coconut smell.  I really am picky about this mixture since I don’t want it smelling like body lotion I have tried in the past (and hated with a passion).  I am hoping the citrus notes will make it more yellow cake meets bakery coconut with hints of citrus.  Bright and just down right makes you happy to eat it =).

Yankee Candle describes this fragrance as

“A delicious way to hop into spring . . . a sweet treat of sugary coconut, creamy vanilla and bright citrus.”

After burning this votive I have come to the conclusion that it smells like flowers or soaps and not the bakery I was anticipating.  I am not sure why.  I will end up burning all three of the votives I purchased to see if this one was just sitting to close to another fragrance in the box and became a mix of that scent.  As for now, I don’t care for it.  I read mixed reviews for this scent before I even received my order.  I would rather it be super sugary sweet than smell like soap.

I decided to melt Baked Apple Pie by Scentsy today. According to Scentsy "Flaky crust, apples and spices combined in a strong scent." When I first received this bar, I thought it was going to be more than just apples an spices. I was hoping the crust would come out more and be more bakery than just apples and cinnamon, you know more pie like. I wouldn't say it's is the best apple pie fragrance, however, I wouldn't say it's the worst either. It is a nice scent, don't get me wrong. I think it's pretty popular since Scentsy has it on their site still. It lacks what I was hoping for..crust. I Find most of the apple pie scents are basically just a version of apples and spice or its the opposite, super bakery with little bits of apple. Would I buy this again..yes it would be a nice everyday fragrance...although I rather have Cutiepie Cupcake :D

If you love sweet bakery coconut then this will be a good scent choice for you. It reminds me of toasted coconut on cakes. You have that buttery bakery note along side with the sweet rich coconut. I seriously feel like I'm baking on a summer getting ready for the 4th of July. Tropical but not suntan lotion like.
Not only do I love how clean it burns (no tunneling..nice and even wax pool and I love the white wax) the throw on this bad boy is filling the kitchen and the great room with ease. Most of you might not have a store that sells Kringles (my closest store is about 60 miles away) I can tell you that I won't hesitate to pay for shipping from their website. They do have free shipping for orders of $150 or more and a flat rate for under that amount. If you order just the fragrance of the month in a large two wick then you basically get free shipping (you save about five bucks). :D. I just placed another order with them today.
