Sugar Corn Pudding is described on Kim's website as "This fragrance is very unique. This is one of my favorites! AWESOME scent!" Okay so this doesn't really give you any clue what you are getting yourself into...but it's okay! I will try my best to describe it to you using actual food/bakery scents. First, the back story: I have to say that I read about this one on facebook so many times and decided to give it a try. Really the name doesn't really jump out at me, how could corn and sugar, formed into a pudding even sound appealing. I finally after much deliberation added one bag to my list.
I popped the creamy brown tart into the warmer and after a few minutes I could smell the most delicious scent! WOW! All I could say over and over again was WOW! How impressed I was with this tart. Now for the description: (Remember this is subjective and you might get something completely different from this) Sweet creamy corn baked goods like a sweet corn bread meets a caramelized top toasted under the broiler. Not over powering with any one scent; a perfect blend! The corn is mixed in so much that I do not really get any hint of it but I really don't mind since I love this scent I wouldn't change it at all! My husband, whom I love dearly, has all of three labels for scents.....Baking, Maple Syrup, and Fruit. When I had this tart going I was so worried he wasn't going to like it, but I wanted to get his reaction to it. He walked into the room and was wondering what I was cooking that smelled good! I caught him right there! 
I have been looking for a bakery scent that wasn't going to go overboard with clove, cinnamon, and some sort of maple/caramel mixed in. I can't believe I went as long as I did without trying this fragrance. If you are planning an order from Kim's please put this one on the list and give it a try. You can't go wrong with it costing as little as it does and I know you will enjoy it, or if you aren't a foodie/bakery person you might know someone who would like it. This scent can be used year round; if you want to just fill your house or just your kitchen with yummy bakery goodness.

Apple Crumble is a new bakery scent that was created by Slatkin & Co. and sold at Bath and Body Works. I do believe this is one of the contest winners from the Best Recipes contest. The scent description from the Bath and Body Works website and it's also printed on the bottom the jar is "Baked Granny Smith and McIntosh Apples topped with vanilla crumble, cinnamon and nutmeg."
Okay before I start giving a review I do want to let you know that I don't actually light these candles. I feel with how small they are I won't get a true idea of what the larger candles will provide. I always put them in the freeze for just a few minutes so they will pop out of the plastic container. Once they are out, I let them get back to room temperature before I put them into a tart burner/wax melter. It will give off tons of fragrance! When I am close to this candle I can smell the tart and sweet apples however when I sat across the room I could really get the full blend of all the notes. I was worried at first because I could really only smell tart apples with hnts of vanilla. It was almost as if it was sour smelling and I think the green tart apples (Granny Smiths) really came out more than the McIntosh. Sometimes I loved it and other times it was too much and I had to walk away from it. I don't think I will be purchasing this in a larger candle but it was nice to try. If you really like tart Granny Smith apples with hints of spice and vanilla then you would enjoy this candle.

I finally ordered L
emon Meringue from Kim's the other day and it arrived in the mail today. I am so excited about this tart because I have been looking for a fabulous Lemon Meringue candle/tart. Something sweet, sour, tangy, creamy...just like the pies I make for the 4th of July or just for a summer treat. Lemon Meringue is one of my all time favorite scents and none of the store bought candles that I have purchased have it down. They either have a great cold throw but when I burn it there isn't any fragrance. Now, I haven't really been searching high or low for it...just whenever I would come across a lemon meringue I bought it just to try it out and it couldn't cost more then 10 bucks. $1.50 for three tarts and I have it.....I found it! This is what I was looking for this whole time!
When I first opened the plastic I didn't think it had a strong throw. I was worried that I wasn't going to get a whole lot from this scent. I was super surprised! AMAZING! Starting with the tart and tangy lemon custard, hits your tongue and makes your taste buds say WHOA...is this sweet or sour? Both my friend...both....so bright and zesty with the creamy vanilla, sugar and egg whites to make fluffy meringue. Dissolves in your mouth but complements the lemon custard. Delish....I just want to cut a slice of this pie.
I am very pleased with this and will be making another order to Kim's when I am finished trying all of my new tarts. I have only used 1 and I'm worried I am going to run out before I get more! If you want to purchase this fabulous scent click on this link --> Kim's Tart Candles

nking....but it's only July and you are melting a fall scent....yes, yes I am! I am trying out some fall scents so I know what to buy at the end of next month. Well I thought by the name alone this would be a great scent to try. This is another one from Kim's Tarts. It sparked my interest by reading the notes on Kim's website, "top notes of pumpkin, persimmon, apple, followed by some middle notes of blueberries, elderberries, currants, orange and cinnamon and all well rounded with base notes of sugar cane and some vanilla." She had me at pumpkin and apple. I am looking for something that is sweet yet pumpkin-y and has some hints of autumn fruits. Cinnamon or clove is a standard fall scent in my house so either one would be fine.
This one really sounds like a typical fall scent...you have pumpkin and cinnamon. Sweetness of the vanilla and sugar and some fruity notes that will give it the autumn aroma...perfect! It's a beautiful October orange color which makes it perfect to have out during the fall months. With so many spice scent, cinnamon and/or clove can be overwhelming especially when the two of them are together. This one only has cinnamon listed in the notes so it should blend perfectly with the pumpkin and apple notes.
Wow!! It's strong but in a good way since I would be using this in a great room I want something that has a pretty strong throw. I smell the cinnamon which isn't over powering and it's not overly spicy like a cinnamon candy...it's sweeter and lighter. I also get a sweet pumpkin and fruit. I can't really tell which fruit sticks out the most but it is definitely there. At times it smells like candy and others like cinnamon fruit. I really like this one and will be adding it to my list of fall scents. October will be the perfect month for this tart....it tricks the nose to think it's one thing and then surprise you get a whiff of a different note.
