I ordered this scent not too long ago on a hunch from a reading all the reviews on it. Apparently this scent is very popular and why wouldn’t it be? It’s a sugar cookie….a delicious buttery, sugary sweet sugar cookie. Everyone I have talked to highly recommends it.
On cold sniff it’s very creamy and buttery yet not too sweet where you are getting cavities just from smelling it, but has the right amount of sugar. It smells like butter, sugar, and a hint of vanilla blended together with a mixer. A yummy start to this delicious baked treat!
It didn’t totally wow me when I opened the clamshell. However, when I placed it in the huge cupcake warmer that I purchased last year, it started to smell delicious! The sweet vanilla and butter come out, still creamy but more of a bakery smell. Definitely a good way to enjoy a sweet treat.
Scentsy describes this scent as:
Warm, sweet blend of butter, sugar and creamy vanilla.
Rating (0-5): 1/2 I wish it was just a little stronger with the bakery note.
Throw: Medium to Strong
Worth It: Yes
I found this at Walmart the other day and I picked up two clamshells. On a cold throw I get a nice bakery cookie fragrance with only a touch of chocolate. It’s not super strong but it seems to be a great chocolate chip cookie scent that won’t choke me up with fake chocolate. The perfect mix.
When I got home I figured it would be worth trying right away…I was ready to switch to something sweet and bakery like. I went ahead a put two cubes but I think one would have been plenty for the small room I was in (the candle room). Right away I could smell this wonderfully creamy butter vanilla scent with chocolate notes. It was such a delightful fragrance.
ScentSationals package describes this scent as:
Sweet vanilla, warm butter and a hint of milk chocolate.
I will be picking up more of these. They would be perfect any time of the year you want to have a little sweetness added to your home.

When I think of citrus I think of sweet strong bright notes but the citrus in this fragrance is just a bit different. The citrus is a smooth slightly sweet almost refreshing. It works amazingly well with the earthiness of the sage which isn’t too over bearing.
It’s a beautiful scent that I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a man-dle or cologne type scent, however, it would be a great fragrance to have in a man cave to un-stink-a-fy the room, without making it smell like cleaner. I enjoy this in the guest room and the great room.
The tart was pretty strong but that’s what I want in a wax melt. The candle gives off just enjoy scent to fill a small to medium size room.
Yankee Candle describes this scent as:
This blend of earthy sage, luxurious talc, and lemon-lime creates a natural harmony.
At first I wasn’t interested in this fragrance..in fact every time I went to Yankee Candle, I passed it up and didn’t give it a second thought. I started watching YouTube videos and TheNoseKnows76 had mentioned this fragrance. I was out and about at Bed, Bath and Beyond..Sage and Citrus was on sale and I had a coupon so I figured why not. Instantly I fell in love with it. I had it going in the warmer next to the couch and it was just perfect. A nice clean and refreshing snuggly scent all wrapped up in to one.
Overall Rating (0-5): Perfect for any time of the year.
Picture yourself walking on the beach, but instead of letting the ocean water run across your feet, you are up closer to the dunes. The sweet smell of wild grasses growing fills the slightly salty ocean air. This is what I think of when I have Dune Grass melting or burning.
Yankee Candle’s website describes this scent as:
A fresh, green coastal breeze of bamboo leaf, bergamot and lemon verbena with hints of white orchid.
Now, not to be confused with Green Grass, this one has more of an ocean/beachy scent to it. Even though it has bergamot and lemon verbena it’s not a super strong scent, it’s actually sweet and mild. Excellent for summer days or nights where you just want to pretend for a moment you are walking on a white sandy beach, without smelling pure salt water or suntan lotion. Relaxing.
This is actually discontinued but you can find it right now online for the SAS. If you are interested in trying it out, you can’t be the price! I stocked up on this in tart form. Even though I live 10 minutes away from the beach, sometimes I just don’t have time to go there and having this scent melting in the office (AKA the candle room) I can relax, close my eyes and think of walking on the sand as the sun sets…ah summer.
Rating (0-5):Throw: Medium
Worth It: Yes, if you want to try a grassy scent that doesn’t smell like fresh cut grass.

I placed an order with The Bathing Garden about a week ago. I had heard such great things and I mean just look at them, they are so cute! I love the embellishments that are added to the clamshells which are also filled to the rim with wax awesomeness!
I, of course, picked a scent called Lemon Tea Party to be apart of this purchase. No surprise when I tell you it’s the first scent I picked to melt =).
The website describes this scent as
The soothing scent of black tea blended with tart juicy lemon!
Break off a piece of this soy blended wax and place in your tart burner.
This was strong …right after I made the video about the purchase I couldn’t hold back. I had to break a piece off and melt it right away. I was in lemony tea heaven! I only had one piece in…one piece! I didn’t even give it time to sit for days to see if the scent would get stronger…..I couldn’t resist!!! It smells like a freshly brewed cup of hot tea with a lemon wedge. Amazing! I felt like I should be drinking daintily from a antique-ish tea cup. Refreshing and relaxing without the caffeine!

OH you better believe this one will be purchased many times!
According to Kim’s website, this scent is described as
“fresh, creamy and tart lemon with hints of crust”
Kim has one of the best selection of lemon scents. I noticed that I hadn’t tried all of them so I thought I would add this one to my cart. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this fragrance. Usually biscotti scents vary and they might have sweet fennel/anise notes added to them. Knowing that, I wasn’t sure if it would really work with a sweet, creamy lemon, in my opinion. I was really impressed with this once I opened the bag. I could smell the sweet lemon and the wonderful bakery note. Not to be confused with her Lemon Meringue Pie that has that tart custardy note along with a meringue note.
This is what I thought her Lemon Pound Cake was going to smell like, dense bakery/cake-y note with a lemony vanilla glaze/frosting. It’s not as dense as LPC but you do get hints of crust or cake in this divine mix which I feel really helps the lemon POP. Delish!
I am happy to have another phenomenal lemon scent to add to my ever growing list of favorites! This will please any bakery connoisseur and will be a huge hit with the lemon lovers. The overall throw was amazing as well. It filled my kitchen, great room, and made it all the way down the hall and into the spare bedrooms.
Rating (0-5): Perfect!Good ol Granny Smith….I like to refer to this one as an actually person because this candle has a personality. Yankee describes this candle as a fresh green apple. She is just that, a fresh green tart crisp apple. If you were to stick your nose right over this jar, it is almost too tart! I love it though because that’s what I think of when I eat green apples. I never know if it’s going to be a sweet mellow tart or a WHOA WOW tart. She has a wonderful throw, I would put it about a medium to strong and it’s just like it smells cold. Sweet, tart and refreshing!
Granny doesn’t disappoint, except in her behavior. I don’t know if all of the jars in this fragrance are naughty but mine would not stay straight. Her wick constantly shifted to the side and only burn one area…you can actually see it in the picture above. After burning this candle for an entire day, with cozies and an illumalid did she finally correct herself and got an even wax pool.
I would recommend this scent to any of you that love fruit scents, especially sweet/tart apples. It’s a must try/have. Just be warned…she needs constant care…after all she is a granny.
4.5 – I would give her a 5 but she was a tunneling disaster.
Rating (0-5):1/2
Even though coconut scents can be a bit overwhelming Kim’s Coconut Cream Pie is a nice creamy lightly coconut dessert/bakery fragrance. Great for those of you that dream of coconut cream pie and would like to have the lingering aroma of this delicious sweet treat in your home. You definitely get the creamy, sweet custard like filling…love it. As for the throw, it was a lot lighter than I thought it was going to be. Most of the time, Kim’s tarts are pretty strong. Don’t get me wrong, it was able to fill a small room easily, but I don’t think it would fill my great room.
I would give this a 5 out of 5 but it was not as strong as I would like it to be. I will

When I first heard about this candle I was unsure about it. I am not a big fan of super strong, tropical drink coconut scents. This is definitely different. Even though the picture is pretty tropical and when you smell this cold you might be turned off by how strong it is….don’t be! It’s a wonderfully mellow coconut scent…more like the meat and less like a bottle of tanning oil or a pina colada. It smells like it might have a little be a lime note added, but it doesn’t seem to stick around long. Even though most of my WJ candles are super strong, this one is nice, it’s the perfect. Reminds me of the shredded coconut or if you buy fresh coconut from the store. There’s no added sweetener to this delectable fruit, pure goodness. I am burning a two wick medium tumbler that I purchased from my local TJMaxx. The picture above is a large two wick tumbler also purchased from TJMaxx.
I was very excited to see the new fall scents previewing at my store. I picked up all but one, there are six total but I skipped out on Treehouse Memories. Something about the way Yankee makes their fall fragrances smell so, well….fall! Here it is not even the middle of summer and I am thinking about fall scents. I really shouldn’t rush my summer, but they were only $0.99! I enjoyed a couple of them based off of smelling them in their wrapper. Here they are:
Season’s Blessings =\=
This scent is described as “pears, plums, and grape with hints of spice and cardamom.” I really think this will be one I burn first. It has a really nice bright sweet note about it that really makes me think about fall fruit.
Harvest Welcome =\=
This scent is described as “farm fresh pumpkins spiced with just right amount of brisk autumn air.” This scent reminds me of Moonlight Harvest but without the earthiness. It’s spicy but not like a pumpkin pie. It will definitely be one to have on hand for the up coming fall season.
Apple Pumpkin =\=
A fall favorite from last year’s Blue Ribbon Line, Apple Pumpkin is described as “home grown apples and pumpkins blended with ginger and clove.” I love this, you get the wonderful fragrance of sweet fall apples and fresh pumpkin all spiced up. something about it just makes me feel that it’s dropped about 15 degrees outside. This is a remarkable scent and I am so pleased it’s back.
Caramel Pecan Pie =\=
This scent is described as a “scrumptious recipe of walnuts, pecans and creamy caramel.” Just on the name alone, I want to grab a fork! The picture of course is enticing too. Creamy caramel is a stand out note in this (Yankee’s caramel is an easy scent to pick out; it’s strong), then I get the walnuts and pecans. It reminds me a little of Apple Pie by Yankee Candle, the crust I think is what makes it similar.
Whoopie Pie! =\=
Chocolate lovers kind of fragrance, this scent is described as “creamy vanilla frosting meets moist, rich, chocolate”. I think chocolate scents are very difficult to create into candle form. They all end up smelling the same to me. I can get the chocolate of course but I actually get that vanilla scent as well. It make this a little different from your regular run of the mill chocolate scents. I’ll have to actually burn this to see how it truly smells.
The last scent, which I didn’t pick up was Treehouse Memories. It is described as “Warm, earthy woods wrapped in sweet, familiar spices”. I might have to go back to the store and pick this one up just so I can compare it. I am a little timid when it comes to “woods and earthy” scents. Even though I rather enjoy Moonlight Harvest which is a real spicy / earthy scent, this one was really hard to smell in the store. Right now the previews are $0.99 so if you are interested in any of these you might want to pick them up now. They are in stores and online. Yankeecandle.com
